Question shutdown when power charger is unplugged, turns on automatically when I put it. Question 2in1 transformer battery works fine but won't charge, laptop works on charger too
Question Laptop charger disconnects at 98%, reconnects itself shortly after. Just as a side note, it seems when I push the cable in by the connector a little tighter, it makes a more solid connection. Put just the battery in the charger and confirmed with a volt meter that the battery was not charging. I WOULD purchase through HP, however from previous takes with buying from them (getting sent the wrong recovery disks 5 times in a row.) I don't think they'll manage to send me the right adapter -.-. I came home and the charger's LED was flashing red with no radio mounted. I called best buy, and the only one they got is this: http /. So, I talked to HP, and they said purchase a 90W AC adapter from them or best buy, and it should fix all the problems. I don't know if the charger isn't making contact with the battery, or if the battery is dead. We had it charging for hours, and it said 100 %, and when we unplugged it in went off in a minuet or two. I don't know if it's the charger, or the connector on the laptop itself. There's a problem that the charger gets loose inside the connector to the notebook, that if it moves at all and isn't exactly in the right spot, it will disconnect from the pc, and stop charging. I started by reformatting with the HP recovery, and deleted all the nortons and HP crap.
#Radio shack battery charger plugged in not charging series#
It's pretty old, HP Pavilion d圆000 series (6550 I think). 4.7a.So, my sister is asking me to help her fix her laptop. UPDATE: So I just realized that the output for my old charger that came with my laptop is 19v 9.23A, and my new one had 19v. What is my issue? Why is this light blinking on and off? Its really annoying. This one is smaller.ĪC ADAPTER I HAVE:100-240V-2.5A. However, the old charger was extremely huge. Then the blinking begins again, and the battery gets drained quickly.Ĭould this be the charger causing the issue? I have the same amount of voltage as my old charger. Then the green light thats in the front of my laptop shuts off, and then begins blinking till its fully off. So what if we put the battery in and I ran a game? When I run a game, after 20 minutes or so, I see that the laptop plugged in icon removes. Then the laptop crashes (without the battery). when I take the battery out, and run my laptop only on the charger, there is no issue. So I keep the charger, and bought a new battery. I thought when I bought the new AC adapter: The issue has to be the charger. Sometimes i've had it at 60 or 70 percent and after a while of blinking its okay. The issue only occurs when the laptop is under 95 or 90 percent and its on. However, when I shut my laptop off, or go into sleep mode, the orange blinking stops, and it charges as it should. I realized that it was going into battery saver mode, then off battery saver mode, on and off. Also, my icon shows that its charging, then not charging. Instead the orange light blinks repeatedly. It's an orange light that is suppose to stay on when it's charging. If my laptop batter is under 95 or 90 percent, my indicator light in the front of my laptop blinks. Hopefully everyone will understand what's happening.Īfter buying a new AC adapter (With the same voltages needed to charge, just a bit smaller than the huge AC adapter this laptop uses), I have had issues when I plug my laptop in. Now I am going to try to be as clear as possible with my issues. However, I am not fully convinced this is a hardware issue. It was handed over to me by my brother a year or two ago.ĭuring the last three months, I have had major issues retarding my AC adapter and battery. I currently own an ASUS ROG G750JM Laptop. Thank you all in advance for your advice. I will make a separate post for a 2nd issue I am having as well. I signed up because I had a few questions about issues I have had with my laptop. So I keep the charger, and bought a new battery.
